The hotel is about 45 minutes by road from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), and only a few minutes from Arusha Airport (ARK) for light aircraft. We can arrange a private transfer either way as part of your trip.

Yes. It sits in Arusha at the start and end of the northern circuit, which makes it a natural first night to rest after your flight and a comfortable final night before you fly home. One night on each end is the usual pattern.

Yes. There is a large outdoor pool, a full spa, a fitness centre, and gardens at the foot of Mount Meru, which makes it an easy place to recover from a long journey or a week in the parks.

Check in is from 15:00 and check out is by 12:00 noon. Early check in and late check out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge, which is worth booking when your flights fall outside those hours.

Bed and breakfast, internet, and a welcome drink on arrival. Lunch and dinner are charged separately unless they are booked with the room, and game drives, park fees, airport transfers and activities all sit outside the rate.

The Deluxe Mount Meru View room is the same generous Deluxe room turned toward the mountain, with Meru filling the window at first light. The Red Level version adds private check in, the Red Level lounge and a personal concierge, and the Junior, Family, Grand and Presidential suites all sit on the Red Level floor.

Bush plane rotations from the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro highlands and the coast land at Arusha Airport, seven to eight kilometres west of the town centre, rather than at Kilimanjaro International. From there it is about twenty to thirty minutes by road across town to the hotel, a distance of roughly nine kilometres.

Yes. From 1 October 2026 visitors entering mainland Tanzania must hold the government inbound travel insurance, 44 USD per adult and valid for up to 92 days, covering emergency medical care, evacuation, repatriation and lost luggage. Children aged 3 to 17 pay half and infants under 3 are free. It is bought online before you fly or on arrival, and residents of Tanzania and of East African and SADC countries are exempt. If you land in Zanzibar first, the Zanzibar policy covers you instead. It is paid by you directly and is not part of our quote.
