Year round. Africa Safari Arusha is a city edge lodge, not a seasonal safari camp, so there are no closure months.

Yes. The Standard Family Room sleeps up to six, with a King size bed plus two bunk beds near the swimming pool. Children 2 to 11.99 share with adults at a reduced flat rate; children under 2 are free.

Rates are on a Full Board basis: breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily in the open sided restaurant. WiFi in the lounge and restaurant, use of the swimming pool and gardens, and 24 hour security are all included. Tips, drinks beyond meal service, and the TDL and village fee of US$2.50 per person per night, paid directly to the lodge at check in, are excluded.

Yes. Most guests stay one night either before or after a northern circuit safari. The team handles late arrivals from overnight flights and can prepare breakfast boxes for early morning departures.

Wifi is free and covers the restaurant, the lounge and the communal areas. The signal is not guaranteed to reach every room, so plan on doing anything that matters from the communal areas rather than from bed.

The lodge runs on mains electricity with a generator that takes over when the city supply drops, so lighting and charging carry on through an outage. Sockets are the British style three pin type used across Tanzania, and every room has charging points for phones and cameras.

This is a city edge lodge rather than a remote camp, so hospital care is minutes away rather than hours. Arusha has several options including Mount Meru Regional Referral Hospital and Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre. Carry travel and evacuation cover for the safari that follows, since the parks are a different matter.

It stays open all year and the contracted rate does not change with the season. April and May bring heavy afternoon showers that leave the gardens green and Mount Meru clear in the gaps between them. Meals move under the roof of the open sided restaurant and the pool area is quieter, which suits a stopover night either side of the circuit.

Yes. From 1 October 2026 visitors entering mainland Tanzania must hold the government inbound travel insurance, 44 USD per adult and valid for up to 92 days, covering emergency medical care, evacuation, repatriation and lost luggage. Children aged 3 to 17 pay half and infants under 3 are free. It is bought online before you fly or on arrival, and residents of Tanzania and of East African and SADC countries are exempt. If you land in Zanzibar first, the Zanzibar policy covers you instead. It is paid by you directly and is not part of your trip price.
