Thirty cottages, divided into eighteen Plantation Rooms and twelve larger Plantation Suites. Both categories take a maximum of three guests, and both are bookable as a single, a double, a twin or a triple.

All year. It sits in Arusha town rather than inside a park, so there is no seasonal closure and no migration to plan around.

By road. Kilimanjaro International is one hour to one hour and thirty minutes away depending on the traffic through Arusha, and Arusha Airport, where the light aircraft safari flights leave from, is five to ten minutes away. From that airport the operator publishes twenty minutes to Kuro for Tarangire, twenty five minutes to Lake Manyara for the Ngorongoro side and fifty five minutes to Lobo in the northern Serengeti.

Yes, and the operator sets no minimum age for a child to stay. Children under twelve share a room with an adult. From twelve a child may take their own room, and the operator asks for at least two children when they do. There is a play area with swings and a climbing frame, and cots and high chairs are available.

Accommodation and breakfast, the coffee estate walks, the Shanga workshop tour and Wi Fi. Lunch and dinner, transfers, flights, airport taxes and gratuities are charged separately.

Yes. The operator runs a day room for six hours with a check out at six in the evening, subject to availability, in either room category. It is the usual answer to a morning landing at Kilimanjaro and an afternoon bush flight out of Arusha Airport. Ask us to arrange it rather than booking it as a night.

Yes. The operator lists Wi Fi in the rooms as well as the public areas, and mobile reception works across the estate.

Two hundred and forty volts at fifty hertz, through the rectangular three pin socket of the British pattern. The operator leaves an adaptor in every room and runs standby generation behind the mains, so power is available around the clock.

No. The operator asks guests not to drink from the taps anywhere in Tanzania, and to use mineral water for brushing teeth as well. Mineral water is provided in the rooms and in the vehicles.

Arusha sits at roughly one thousand four hundred metres, so it is temperate rather than hot. Night lows average between eight and thirteen degrees through the year, coldest in June, August and September. Both room categories have a log fire for that reason.

Four places. A breakfast room, a four course lunch buffet served in the garden, a grill room inside the main house for dinner, and a bistro that runs through the day and into the night. Room service is available around the clock, and picnic boxes and dietary requests are arranged on notice.

Yes. From 1 October 2026 visitors entering mainland Tanzania must hold the government inbound travel insurance, 44 USD per adult and valid for up to 92 days, covering emergency medical care, evacuation, repatriation and lost luggage. Children aged 3 to 17 pay half and infants under 3 are free. It is bought online before you fly or on arrival, and residents of Tanzania and of East African and SADC countries are exempt. If you land in Zanzibar first, the Zanzibar policy covers you instead. It is paid by you directly and is not part of your trip price.
