By air to Zanzibar and then by road north up the coast. The operator publishes one hour and fifteen minutes from Zanzibar Airport to the property, and one hour and thirty minutes from Stone Town. A one way airport transfer comes with most rates.

Yes. The property runs an adults only policy and we cannot book a child into any room here. The operator's own room pages refer to guests of eighteen and over, while several trade listings circulate a figure of sixteen. If you are travelling with someone just under eighteen, ask us to confirm with the property before you book.

All meals, soft drinks, daily laundry, the activities that run from the property such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and a one way airport transfer with most rates. The excursions to Mnemba and Stone Town, spa treatments, evacuation cover, flights and airport taxes, gratuities and the Zanzibar Infrastructure Tax of five dollars per person per night are charged separately.

Yes. Every pavilion has its own plunge pool, and the main pavilion overlooks a twenty five metre infinity pool with a lounge set into the waterfall beside it.

There is one restaurant, The Old Drift Restaurant and Lounge, with breakfast from seven, lunch from midday and dinner from six in the evening. Everything is cooked to order rather than laid out as a buffet. The kitchen also serves in the pavilion, including breakfast floated on the private pool, and lays dinner out on the beach on request.

Yes to both. The operator lists Wi Fi in the main areas and in the pavilions, and air conditioning in every villa category. The pavilions are built open to the breeze with slatted shutters and wide arched windows, so the air conditioning is there for the still nights rather than running all day.

The beach runs more than half a kilometre along the front of the property, white sand the whole way. Kendwa is one of the few parts of the Zanzibar coast where the tide does not pull far out, so swimming is possible through the day rather than only at high water.

No. Use the bottled mineral water, for brushing teeth as well. Every guest is given a refillable steel bottle on arrival and the lounges refill it through the day.

Yes. Visitors to Zanzibar must hold the Zanzibar inbound travel insurance, 44 USD per person for the whole stay, bought online at visitzanzibar.go.tz before arrival. Tanzania residents are exempt. If you enter mainland Tanzania first for a safari, the mainland policy covers you instead. It is paid by you directly and is not part of your trip price.
