About

Malaika Seronera Luxury Camp sits on the banks of the Warangi 3 River in central Serengeti, opened by the Malaika family in September 2023 and run year round. Twelve canvas tents line a shaded clearing on the plain: ten Luxury Tents and two interconnecting Luxury Family Tents, all wheelchair accessible, all set up for the long unhurried evenings the central Serengeti is known for.

This stretch of the Serengeti is the place to come for resident wildlife. Lion prides hold the river all year, leopards rest in the sausage trees, cheetah hunt the open plains around Maasai Kopjes, and the Seronera River draws elephant and buffalo into the camp's line of sight. Game drives launch from the property both morning and afternoon.

Full board is served camp-style in the mess tent. The kitchen prepares gluten-free and vegan menus on request, mineral water comes with every meal, and 220V power runs to the rooms and the main pavilion. Wheelchair access runs across the camp.

The camp suits first-time safari guests, families with older children, and photographers who want a steady base in the central park. Reach the camp by light aircraft to Seronera airstrip (around 1 hour from Arusha, then 45 minutes by vehicle) or by road from Arusha at roughly 375 kilometres and six hours.
