Seronera sits in the heart of the Serengeti and rewards a visit in almost any month, which is why we often anchor a first safari here. The long dry season from late June to October is the classic window: game concentrates around the Seronera River, the grass is short, and resident lion, leopard and cheetah are easier to find.
The green season from November to May brings dramatic skies, newborn game and the best birding, with lower lodge rates and fewer vehicles. The migration herds typically pass through the central plains around November to December and again in April to May as they move between the south and north. Whenever you come, Seronera holds resident predators year round.

How much are Serengeti park fees?
Adult entry is currently 70.80 US dollars per person per day, rising to 82.60 in the peak season, plus a 17.70 US dollars per vehicle per day fee, before VAT. Children pay less. The full breakdown for this sector is in the fees table above, and every fee appears as its own line on your quote.
How many days should I spend in the central Serengeti?
We recommend three nights in Seronera. That gives you two full days of game drives across the river valleys and plains without rushing, and time to find the resident big cats the area is known for.
Is the central Serengeti good year round?
Yes. Unlike the migration corridors, Seronera holds resident lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and buffalo all year, so it delivers regardless of season. The migration herds also pass through the central plains twice a year.
Can you see the Great Migration in Seronera?
The herds usually move through the central Serengeti around November to December and again in April to May. For the Mara River crossings you head north to Kogatende between July and October. We position your camp to match your travel dates.
What is the best way to reach Seronera?
Most guests either drive the Northern Circuit from Arusha through Ngorongoro, or take a short flight into one of the Seronera airstrips. We price both options transparently so you can weigh time against cost.
