Yes. There is no minimum age. A Deluxe Tent sleeps up to four guests and the Family Tent sleeps up to eight. Children under 16 must share a tent with at least one adult, kids aged 5 to 15 are billed at 50 percent of the adult rate, and kids 0 to 4 stay free with a cot provided at no charge.

Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner), all VAT, the Tourism Development Levy, and a complimentary bush dinner each stay. Tarangire National Park entry fees, drinks, and tips are not included.

June to October is the classic Tarangire dry season, when wildlife concentrates around the river and the park is at its most photogenic. The shoulder months either side are quieter and slightly less expensive.

Roughly a three hour drive from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International (JRO), or a short light aircraft flight to Kuro or Tarangire airstrip followed by a transfer to camp.

Check in is from 16:30 and check out is by 09:30. The camp asks to be told in advance if you expect to arrive or leave outside those hours.

Yes. A supplement of USD 25 per adult per night applies for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Cancelling 61 days or more before arrival is refunded in full. Between 60 and 31 days a 50 percent fee applies, and inside 30 days the booking is not refundable. A 30 percent deposit secures a booking and the balance falls due 30 days before arrival.

The camp runs on solar power, which keeps it quiet. Charging works best during daylight hours while the panels are working hardest, so a spare camera battery is worth packing if you shoot a lot.

Six tents, owner run. Each has a private veranda and an en suite bathroom, and the Family Tent sleeps up to eight. At that size the guiding and the kitchen stay personal, which is most of the reason to choose it.

The camp carries no closed months. January, February and December are green months in Tarangire: the park is quieter, the migrant birds are in, and the resident elephants are still along the river. March through May the rains make heavier going on the tracks and the camp is at its quietest.

Yes. From 1 October 2026 visitors entering mainland Tanzania must hold the government inbound travel insurance, 44 USD per adult and valid for up to 92 days, covering emergency medical care, evacuation, repatriation and lost luggage. Children aged 3 to 17 pay half and infants under 3 are free. It is bought online before you fly or on arrival, and residents of Tanzania and of East African and SADC countries are exempt. If you land in Zanzibar first, the Zanzibar policy covers you instead. It is paid by you directly and is not part of your trip price.
