The journey

The tide is out on the east coast, but here on the north tip of Zanzibar the water still laps at the beach. Warm, clear, the colour of sea glass, it is deep enough to swim at nine in the morning and again at four. That is why we built this Zanzibar honeymoon in Nungwi and Kendwa around one simple thing: a Zanzibar beach where you can swim at any tide, with nothing to plan around but the light.

We begin gently, with one night in Arusha after the long flight into Kilimanjaro: a quiet garden, the smell of rain on red earth, an early night. The next morning a short flight carries you over the Maasai Steppe and out across the channel to the island. From there the days are yours. Walk the soft sand towards Kendwa as the fishermen haul in the morning catch. Snorkel the coral gardens of Mnemba Atoll on an optional trip, where parrotfish graze in water so clear you can count the ripples on the seabed. In the evenings the sky turns copper and the lateen sails of the dhows go dark against it; an optional sunset dhow cruise from Nungwi is a quiet way to end the day. On another evening you can add a private dinner cruise for two. These are optional extras, run by the island operator you choose and never folded into the price.

This is what makes us different. Every cost on this luxury Zanzibar honeymoon from Arusha is itemised before you commit: island fees and levies, lodging, flights and transfers, activities, and the total at the bottom. No hidden markups and no padded package rate. This route was planned by our team in Arusha, who know which stretch of beach stays calm when the monsoon wind turns. Once you have booked, a local Expert looks after you on WhatsApp until you fly home.

The north coast is lovely year round, with clear water and steady weather typically from June through February. Come for the swimming, stay for the slow mornings, and leave with salt still in your hair.

Every camp on the route is yours to choose. Park fees, lodge nights and vehicle days are itemised on the page before you book. The total you build is the total you pay.
