By Cessna flight from Arusha Airport, 1hr 15min, to the Seronera airstrip, then a 30 minute game drive transfer to camp. Overland from Arusha is about 324 kilometres and six hours.

Full board, soft drinks with meals and the Tourism Development Levy are included. Not included: park fees, concession fees ($59 per adult per night, rising to $70.80 in peak season, and $11.80 per child), the game drive vehicle, soft drinks, flights and gratuities. Park and concession fees are set by the park authority and are added to your trip price at the figures current for your dates.

The central Serengeti delivers wildlife all year. June to October is the driest stretch. April to June brings the migration northbound, and October to December brings it back south.

Yes, around the clock. About four fifths of the power comes from solar with a generator for back up, and there are British style sockets in each tent. Tanzania runs on 230 volts, so bring an adapter for anything with two pin plugs.

There is Wi Fi at the lodge. It is dependable in the main areas and thinner in the tents, and each tent has an internal telephone to reception. Mobile coverage around Seronera comes and goes, so plan on being offline for most of the day.

Arrange flying doctor cover and medical evacuation insurance before you travel, because neither is in the rate. Staff keep first aid kits, there is a small dispensary at Seronera for minor problems, and anything serious is flown from the Seronera airstrip, about thirty minutes away, to Arusha or Nairobi.

March to May is the wet stretch, and it rains in afternoon storms rather than all day. The plains turn, the light is at its best and the resident lion prides, the leopards along the Seronera river and the elephant and buffalo herds do not leave. Roads turn to black cotton mud and a game drive can be slower or rerouted. You will share sightings with very few vehicles.

Yes. From 1 October 2026 visitors entering mainland Tanzania must hold the government inbound travel insurance, 44 USD per adult and valid for up to 92 days, covering emergency medical care, evacuation, repatriation and lost luggage. Children aged 3 to 17 pay half and infants under 3 are free. It is bought online before you fly or on arrival, and residents of Tanzania and of East African and SADC countries are exempt. If you land in Zanzibar first, the Zanzibar policy covers you instead. It is paid by you directly and is not part of your trip price.
