There is wifi at the camp, best treated as good enough for messages and photographs rather than for a working day. Mobile reception reaches the camp but is not dependable. Expect to be out of contact for stretches while you are out on a drive.

The camp runs on solar, which powers the lights and heats the water. Charging is handled at the camp charging tent rather than at the bedside, so bring a spare camera battery for a long day out and hand anything else to the camp team to charge for you.

Yes, and the family tent is built for four. The camp is unfenced and animals walk through it at night, so children are escorted to and from the tent after dark and are not left alone there. Walking safaris carry an age limit, which we confirm at the time of booking.

Accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, daily laundry, a two hour walking safari, and the Seronera airstrip transfer. Game drives are with the operator you choose for your safari. Not included: park and camping fees, vehicle entry, flights, gratuities, the four hour walking safari, and the five course chef tasting dinner.

Roughly the middle of February to the middle of March, with most births in the last week of February. The herds gather on the short grass plains around Ndutu, about an hour south of camp, and the predator activity that follows them is the reason to come.

April and May are the wettest months and the game spreads out, so you drive further between sightings. What you get in exchange is green country, dramatic light and very few other vehicles. The camp stays open all year.

From 1 October 2026 visitors entering mainland Tanzania must hold the government inbound travel insurance, 44 USD per adult and valid for up to 92 days, covering emergency medical care, evacuation, repatriation and lost luggage. Children aged 3 to 17 pay half and infants under 3 are free. It is bought online before you fly or on arrival, and residents of Tanzania and of East African and SADC countries are exempt. If you land in Zanzibar first, the Zanzibar policy covers you instead. It is paid by you directly and is not part of your trip price.
