About Lake Manyara National Park.
A compact yet extraordinary national park wedged between the soda lake and the towering walls of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, vast elephant herds, and the primate-rich groundwater forest at the park entrance. During the dry season, the alkaline lake hosts spectacular flamingo gatherings and hundreds of waterbird species. Despite covering a relatively small area, Lake Manyara delivers a concentrated and diverse wildlife experience that makes it a rewarding introductory stop on the Northern Circuit.
